In Bangalore, the mega launch was at the ITC Windsor Bengaluru, where general manager Anil Chaddha, Vijay Rekhi, of USL and Abhay Kewadkar, Chief Winemaker and Business Head, FSWL were among those to unveil the varietal wines in a gala evening. BottlesThis evening also showcased the restaurants of the Windsor – from a wide range of cold meats, cheese and olives to an array of kebebs and mouth-watering desserts. Guests, which included recognizable faces from Bangalore society mingled, chatted, enjoyed the food and clapped as they were introduced to the portfolio of five wines: the Four Seasons chenin blanc, the Four Season sauvignon blanc, the Four Season blush rose, the Four Season shiraz and the Four Season cabernet sauvignon. Pictured above are the bottles of Four Seasons wine unveiled at the Bangalore Launch.
And if this evening wasn’t a big enough splash, the Chennai launch proved to be another major success with many of the town’s who’s whos present. The Sheraton Park Hotel and Towers was the venue and Virender Razdan, General Manager played host. fourseasonsbottles1.jpgThe food was an interesting variety of Indian foods, showing how wine can be paired well with Indian food too.
Both launch parties and their interest shown by those attending undelined the fact that wine is certainly growing in popularity. Abhay Kewadkar underlined this when he said, “Over the years, consumers have shied away from embracing wines owing to a lack of knowledge. But times are changing, and wine consumption is slowly but surely on the rise. The Four Seasons wines have been styled keeping in mind the tastes of the Indian consumer and the diversity of Indian cuisine. Hence, one will find the wines fairly fruit forward, with a good balance.” Pictured to the right are bottles of Four Seasons wine waiting to be opened at the Chennai Launch
We’ll say cheers to that!
