Well into its ninth edition, Sula’s two-day Gourmet World Music Festival from Feb 6th to 7th proved to be a roaring success. Over 10,000 people who descended on the winery at Nashik experienced a mix of great music, gourmet food and activities like foot massages, tarot reading, grape stomping, etc. And of course there was lots of wine from Sula, their wine partner Hardys, Asahi Super Dry Beer, Cointreau, Grant’s Family Reserve Whiskey, Jägermeister and Stolichnaya Vodka.

The music was the highlight of the event with The Cat Empire’s performance on Saturday, Feb 6th followed by the soulful Kailasa on Sunday on the stage “Atmasphere”.  Others who rocked the show included Israel’s Balkan beat box, France’s Dub Inc, Spain’s Made in Barcelona and Reggae Rajahs from India apart from others.

Commenting on the fest’s success, Rajeev Samant, Founder & CEO, Sula Vineyards said, “What an incredible vibe! More than 10,000 fest-goers had the time of their life, showing why SulaFest is the country’s most eagerly awaited festival weekend. Next year, is the 10th SulaFest and we promise a line-up better than you have ever seen in India.”

Cecilia Oldne, VP – Marketing, Sula Vineyards said,“Wow – this is by far our best SulaFest breaking all records!”

Somm India missed this edition of Sula Fest, although our magazine was airlifted to the event and we hope it provided some additional heft to the hype and colour!
